Café Obermarkt in Mittenwald

One star is still too many. Completely unfriendly service (male, stocky, with glasses), snapping at guests. Went out again and made another profit. It was much more pleasant there Answer to the answer from the 'Owner': This is how you can create your own truth. To clarify: there was no one I had to 'overtake' to be the first at the table. I didn't cheat my way past anywhere, I don't have to. The only one cheating is you! Please stay honest here! I even had to evade you when you came in, or backed away, because you came directly towards me at a narrow point. You could have told me, no, that the 'free' table has not yet been disinfected and therefore not released. Since you didn't do that, you were obviously playing lightly with my health! Addendum: The fact that the owner's (?) First reaction was deleted by himself speaks for itself. Without words...

Best support from the boss and his staff. Cake always delicious. Drinks are always a pleasure. Looking forward to be back next year. Best regards from Gelsenkirchen.

I can only recommend, super nice host couple, coffee is good, also food and fresh cakes. I always buy my tea there for home. Nice and large selection.

My partner, our daughter and I went to Cafe Obermarkt today, my daughter had half a scoop of ice cream in the bag from the ice cream shop. We ordered a coke, 2 cakes and 2 coffees. Then the landlord came to our table and made a fuss about this half-scoop of ice cream that you weren't allowed to eat anything you had brought with you. So we left the cafe without consuming anything. Thank goodness, there are several cafes in Mittenwald, where half a scoop of ice cream (value of goods € 0.60) from a child who would have also ordered a Coke does not lead to such a scandal. 5 minus points for this unfriendly host! To the following "answer" LIE from the host: 1. We ordered crumble cake with plums and apple-almond from the cake shop. We wanted to order the 2 coffees and the cola at the table. 2. Since the daughter does not have cakes etc. I like cake, we have already done it several times and ONLY IN YOUR SHOP IT BECAME AN EKLAT! Still, she would have had a Coke. 3. I even go into the whole or half of the ball (here you can see how petty and fussy they are) From the purchase, in your neighborhood to you, we were in 2 shops. So the ball was still whole :-) We're happy to go somewhere else !!!

Quaint cafe in the heart of Mittenwald. Yes, touristy - but not without reason! The cake tastes wonderful and I haven't had such a good coffee in a cafe in a long time! The waitresses are all friendly and quick. At the moment, the hygiene regulations regarding Corona are clearly observed (distances, recording of guest data, wearing mouth and nose protection, disinfecting the tables after a guest change) - exemplary!

We were a family, walked around the beautiful city a lot, stopped for tea, generally baking in Germany is beyond praise! We decided to relax, took four different cakes and pies, everything is excellent and very tasty, and on the way to the toilet there is a sheepskin goods store, a jacket for a child cost only 25 euros, the child is happy, now he is a lamb

Great fresh beer. Hospitality and cordiality. A refreshment point that hides surprises inside ... A wide selection of typical local objects. Definitely recommended for a break after a hike and simply to drink a good beer and eat a slice of cake.

Great soups, even if a little long wait it's worth it!

A lovely place in the middle of the pedestrian mall, all the soups we had were tasty, excellent price.

Nice food and place, but a little crowded.

Cosy place in the city center of Mittenwald. The pies are very good. As is the extensive selection of teas. Staff is a bit overwhelmed when the place is packed. Did enjoy a good piece rhubarb pie with ‘Mittenwalder Vielkräutertee’. Tee is priced at €4,80.

Cozy, rustic little restaurant in the Mittenwald pedestrian zone. Large selection of tea varieties and coffee specialties, whereby only tea is really recommended. Delicious cakes and pastries! Service is nice and courteous, prices are reasonable. A highlight is the beautiful listed building in which the café is located.

Friendly staff, excellent iced coffee and nice cakes.
